The Exchange has created a liquid marketplace for buying and selling crude oil. Since its inception in January 1999, the Exchange has grown to be a central feature of the market for a large majority of Canada's leading oil traders, including producers, refiners, and marketers.

John A. Macleod

John A. Macleod
President and Chief Executive Officer

John A. Macleod, a 30-year veteran of the petroleum industry, joined NetThruPut in 1997. Prior to this, Mr. Macleod served as Vice President, Crude Oil and Natural Gas Marketing, with producer Sceptre Resources Limited, and as Manager of Crude Oil Marketing, and later, Manager of Natural Gas Marketing, with Husky Oil, a fully integrated Canadian petroleum company. In these positions, he was responsible for the introduction and advancement of strategic business initiatives. Mr. Macleod brings extensive knowledge of energy trading, marketing, and logistics to the Exchange. His experience and understanding of the petroleum industry and e-commerce has been instrumental in the creation, development, and rapid growth of the Exchange.

Jack Davey

Jack Davey
Vice President, Marketing

Jack Davey joined NetThruPut in late 2000. Mr. Davey has over 25 years of business experience of which 20 are directly related to the crude oil marketing and trading business. Prior to joining NetThruPut, Mr. Davey was Vice President of Crude Oil and Refined Products Marketing with TransCanada Energy and Northridge Petroleum Marketing Inc. Mr. Davey has been an active participant in the development and implementation of many of the Canadian crude oil industry procedures since deregulation in 1985. These initiatives have included the development of the Modified Prorationing System, and the formation of the Canadian Crude Oil Logistics Committee and its initial operating procedures. Mr. Davey holds a CIM designation from the Canadian Institute of Management.

Stephen Lappin

Stephen Lappin
Vice President, Finance

Since joining NetThruPut in 1998, Stephen Lappin has provided strong leadership in energy risk management, credit, and all financial and accounting matters. His extensive background in the financial services sector includes the role of Manager, Risk Management at the Exchange as well as six years as a commercial banker with a major Canadian financial institution. Mr. Lappin has contributed directly to the structuring and management of the Exchange's credit system and has been responsible for the financial review and evaluation of all strategic initiatives. Mr. Lappin, a Chartered Financial Analyst, holds an MBA from the University of Alberta, Canada and a BMgt from the University of Lethbridge, Canada.

Sandy Cameron

Sandy Cameron
Vice President, Emissions Strategies

Mr. Cameron was a founding member of NetThruput. Prior to that he worked in other Enbridge subsidiaries including a founding role with Enbridge Technology (formerly IPL Technology) managing advanced technical solutions worldwide. More recently his interests have included the impact of the government's carbon constraints on Canadian energy industry. His efforts have been acknowledged with an MSc (Resources and the Environment) from the University of Calgary. As the carbon market evolves Mr. Cameron will ensure that NTP's customers' interests are represented throughout the market's development process. Mr. Cameron also holds an MBA and BSc (Computer Science) from the University of Alberta, Canada.
